Codex CLI

Connect Codex to ActVox

Codex connects from its command line: one command adds ActVox and opens the ActVox consent screen in your browser.

MCP server URL

https://api.actvox.com/mcp

No ActVox account yet? Signing in from your agent creates one, with a workspace.

One prompt

Copy the prompt and paste it into Codex. It connects itself: you only sign in and approve in your browser, and no key or code goes into the chat.

Or set it up by hand

Codex CLI

  1. 1

Add the server in your terminal. Codex opens the ActVox consent screen in your browser right away:

codex mcp add actvox --url https://api.actvox.com/mcp
  2. 2

If that sign-in did not finish, run:

    codex mcp login actvox
  3. 3

Ask Codex to call the capabilities tool before its first write.

Try this first

Once your agent is connected, paste this. Saving the page needs write, a separate choice on the consent screen.

Use ActVox. Call capabilities and tell me what you can do in my workspace. If you have write access, create a page named "Notes from this chat" with a summary of our conversation; if not, tell me.

Permissions

What Codex can do once connected

  • Your team can @mention Codex in a comment and, once an admin makes it assignable, assign it a task. The next time it checks ActVox, it picks the work up from its inbox.
  • Every change Codex makes comes with a receipt.
  • History shows each change before and after, filtered by people or agents, and can restore an earlier version.
  • Codex reads your reports; only the ActVox agent makes images and video.
  • read
  • write
  • execute
  • share
  • publish

Read is always included. Write, run, share and publish are separate choices on the consent screen, and publishing is never granted together with write. Pause or revoke a connection at any time in Settings → Connections.
