Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about ActVox Research - how the audit works, what Workspace OS includes, pricing, credits, and integrations.

01What is Workspace OS?+

Workspace OS is the ongoing work surface after the audit. It connects reports, pages, tasks, content, sources, boards, databases, and calendars to the same business context.

02Do I need a website to start?+

No. Choose the no-website path, sign up, complete a short business profile, and continue into Workspace OS.

03How long does the analysis take?+

A full audit usually takes a few minutes. Specialist agents work in parallel across visibility, competitors, sources, social presence, and content opportunities.

04What platforms are supported?+

ActVox can create editable content for Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Google Business Profile. Approved Instagram and LinkedIn content can also publish directly when the relevant integration is connected.

05Can I edit the generated content?+

Yes! All generated content is fully editable with a live preview. You can tweak copy, adjust tone, and customize everything before publishing.

06What is the Knowledge Base?+

The Knowledge Base is your AI's custom memory. Add trusted sources - articles, competitor pages, industry reports, documentation - and the AI uses them to generate content that's specific to your market, not generic filler. The more relevant sources you add, the smarter your content becomes.

07What are Sources and how do I add them?+

Sources are URLs that feed your Knowledge Base. When you add a source, we crawl it, extract content, and index it for AI retrieval. Add sources manually via URL, or use Source Discovery to auto-find relevant industry content, competitor articles, and authoritative resources. Each source strengthens your AI's understanding of your niche.

08Do you post directly to social media?+

Approved Instagram and LinkedIn content can be published directly through their connected integrations. Content for other supported platforms remains available as editable drafts and calendar work.

09Can Codex or Claude Code connect to my workspace?+

Yes, through Discovery v0. A workspace-scoped API key supports doctor checks, live capability discovery, and canonical skill setup. Discovery v0 does not provide CLI workspace mutations or unrestricted automation.

10How is this different from ChatGPT?+

Unlike generic AI tools, we analyze YOUR specific business - your actual website, competitors, and market position - to create a tailored strategy, not generic templates.

11Is my data secure?+

ActVox stores the business details and workspace content you provide, along with public-source data retrieved for the service. Access follows workspace authentication; see Privacy and workspace controls for retention and deletion details.

12Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes, there are no long-term contracts. You can cancel or stop using the service at any time with no penalties.

13What integrations are available?+

Integration availability depends on the connector and plan. For Codex and Claude Code, the current public surface is Discovery v0: scoped access checks, capability discovery, and skill setup without CLI workspace mutations.

14How much does it cost?+

Your first audit is free. Current pay-as-you-go prices, plan limits, and included usage are shown in the Pricing section and your billing view; those surfaces are the source of truth.

15How does pay-as-you-go work?+

Pay-as-you-go means you only pay when you actively use a paid feature - no subscription, no monthly bill, no surprises.

Here's how it works:

  1. Start free. Run your first audit with no signup. View your SEO score, AEO score, and competitor overview.
  2. Sign in to save. When you want to save your report or unlock the full strategy, you'll be asked to sign in with Google or email.
  3. Pay only when you go deeper. When you click something paid - generate content, unlock the marketing strategy, run a second audit, export to PDF - ActVox sends you to the billing options available for your account.
  4. Confirm before anything changes. You only upgrade or request paid access after an explicit click. If self-serve checkout is not configured for your workspace yet, support can activate the plan manually.
  5. Use what you paid for. The feature unlocks after checkout or manual activation and you can use it anytime.

You're never charged automatically by browsing the workspace. Every paid action requires you to click and confirm.

16What's the difference between free and paid?+

The free tier gives you one full audit with SEO scores, AEO visibility check, competitor overview, and top recommendations. Paid features unlock additional reports, the full marketing strategy, content generation, visual and video creation, and workspace management.

17How do tokens and usage limits work?+

Current token allowances and usage limits are shown in Pricing and your billing view. An audit runs the relevant specialist agents in parallel and usually completes in a few minutes.

18Will plan changes affect my existing work?+

Your existing reports and workspace content remain in your account. Current feature access and usage limits follow the plan details shown in Pricing and billing.

19What happens to my workspace content if I change plans?+

Changing plans does not automatically delete workspace content. Access and usage limits follow your current plan; retention and deletion follow your workspace controls and the Privacy policy.
