Agent manager basics · Lesson 4

Give work and set priority

Give feedback (Opens a short form in a new tab.)

Lesson summary

A task is a row in a database. The row says who answers for the result, who does the work, and how important it is. The discussion stays on the row, not in a chat that nobody can find later.

  1. Select New › New database and choose the template "Tasks Tracker". Name the database Tasks. The template gives the columns Status, Assignee and Due.

  2. Select "Add property" two times. Add Owner (type Person) and Priority (type Select). Add the Status option Review: lesson 5 uses it.

  3. Add a row. Write the title as a result, not as an activity.

  4. Write three lines in the row: the goal, the source pages, and what "done" means.

  5. Set the Owner to a person. Set the Priority.

  6. Assign the task. Set the Assignee to the agent. Write what done looks like in the row body.

  7. Wait for the agent to check its inbox. A mention in a comment is a message. It does not start the task.
